The Need for End of Life Advocacy and Care is HUGE
“… especially now, in these times we’re in. And no doubt you’ve been hearing about the Silver Tsunami fast approaching–we are actually in the middle of it now (2025). By 2030, there will be more people over 65, than under 18 for the 1st time in history. Add to that the fact that non-paid caregivers (family/friends/neighbors) are 7:1 now and rapidly decreasing. By 2030, it will be 4:1. This is a HUGE shift we are facing. We need to prepare now.
The world needs more compassionate end-of-life advocates and the End-of-Life Doula role is perfect for this gap. End-of-Life Doulas are trained professionals who can offer non-medical support and advocacy. They provide emotional, physical and practical support to individuals and their loved ones during the very specific time from when treatments begin to stop working to early bereavement.
When you’ve had it with putting yourself last on the list of priorities and are ready to invest your time and energy in what gives you meaning in your life, everything will unfold for you. I know what you are wanting because I talk to people like you every day about this. You are longing to bring meaning in your life and you are passionate about reducing suffering at the end of life. If you are inspired to serve more deeply, I’ve got you.”

A Note From Deanna

Not many people wake up one day and decide, “you know, I want to serve the dying.” It does happen but usually how it goes is something like this.
You are a person that people turn to when times are rough. You are the one that seems to show up when others do not or cannot. You are comfortable with dying and death in a way that others are not. You may even be obsessed with it. You find joy in bringing peace and supporting others through their dying time. More people don’t understand you than do.
Then, one day, you hear of ‘end-of-life doula,’ and you go, “WHAT?! Is this a real thing?” You do hours of research.
And you find that, yes, it is. Welcome to the rest of your life!
If this speaks to you, I would love to teach you everything I know, and I know a lot (not everything to be clear, but I can show you a thing or two). What I absolutely do know are people who want to give everything they have to make the dying time better for people and to help reduce suffering in this world. I am here for you when this is your calling and I will show you what it really takes to do this very unique service well.
